	Happy New Year! We hope you enjoy our new CIE Newsletter format. Let us know... We are gearing up for an exciting 2011! And our focus is on DATA! "Accurate data is an essential component of a commercial REALTORS' success in a challenging market. Our goal is to have your CIE provide the most up to date and accurate data available and we have established the following to accomplish this goal." Over the next 18 months, CIE, in cooperation with Xceligent will be fine tuning the CIE database. First up: Advisory Boards for Office, Industrial & Retail Properties. A group of real estate practitioners will be assembled to firm up the details of commercial properties in the region. Once the group verifies the list and the accuracy of the data, CIE will begin producing quarterly reports that reflect trends in occupancy rates and lease rates. Sales Comparable's Team. We are putting together a team who will focus solely on Comp data. This group will be pulling all transfers of ownership, cross referencing against current sale listings. Searching a variety of sites for additional information to further enhance and complete each record. Attaching a current tenant roster, including vacancy and asking rates. Field Researcher. This team member will begin identifying and populating missing buildings not included in the current database, initially capturing any building over 10,000 SF, even if the property is not listed. All missing listings regardless of size of building will be captured along with photos. They will also be matching buildings that do not currently have a tenant roster. We have added a "County Data" link in the Control Center located on the top right hand corner of the Property Summary page. The Property Summary page is the page you land on when clicking the property's address from the search results page. The link is based upon the Market that the Property is located. The quickest way to access tax information is to first, copy the parcel number (if available) from the property tab, click on the "County Data" link and paste the parcel number into the applicable field on the assessor's website. ADDING/CHANGING DEFAULT PHOTOS In addition, you can easily swap out your default photo with a check of a box.  Here's how:   Click on View/Update My Listings from your home page Select "Update Lease" or "Update Sale" on the property you want to work on Select the Photos/Flyers tab and click on "Add Photos/Flyers" button Select the "Browse" button to find your .jpg or .gif photo and press "Open" Select the "Default Photo" checkbox to make the photo the default photo Give the photo a name and press the "OK" button at the top of the window to save it Note: Share with public means the attachment will be viewable on public search pages such as company, association and EDC websites.  Adding, changing or deleting photographs or any kind of attachment is a snap with our attachment interface.		2011 CIE Chairman Peter Pfeifer, SIOR Hilliker Corporation In This Issue County Data Link Adding/Changing Default Photos Message From Our Chairman Quick Links CIE Database CIE Website Commercial Division Website Commercial News Financial Information Useful Links Training Classes Did you know that CIE offers FREE hands-on training?
